The Irish Special Interest Group assists members in tracing their Irish ancestry and learning about their ancestors’ lives in Ireland. The group explores online resources, including church, vital, land, and tax records, while also delving into the history of Ireland. Educational materials, available in print, online, and through webinars, are reviewed to aid in research. The group also focuses on identifying American sources that offer clues about where to research in Ireland. Member research challenges are tackled with the goal of overcoming brick walls, and the joy of being Irish is celebrated, especially on March 17.
