Maps — Knowing WHERE to Search
State, county, and township or town lines changed as the population increased and migrated. Knowing whereto look for records often breaks down those brick walls in your research. This class covers the many different kinds of maps that are available over the years, analyzing the information available on each type, and understanding the terminology of an area.

Church/Funeral Home/Cemetery Records
Church records are a necessity for research in those times of pre-vital records or “the burned court house situation. During this class we will look at different types of church records and their importance in genealogy. We will also spend time studying the wealth of information that you can find in Funeral Home Books, as well as, what you can expect to find in the actual cemetery records and monument company records.
