Soldiers, Sailors, and Federal Employees: Discover your ancestors in the records of multiple military conflicts and in Federal Courts, by branching out to new and untapped resources.
Michael L. Strauss, AG is an Accredited Genealogist since 1995. A native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia,he has been an avid genealogist for more than 35 years. Michael holds a BA in History and is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He is a qualified Expert Witness in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Additionally, he is an approved genealogist for the U.S. Army to locate DNA-qualified family members of MIA’s from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Michael is also the President of the Virginia Beach Genealogical Society.

Getting Ready for a Road Trip
Currently only about 2% of all genealogical information is available online. Eventually, travel (“road trip”) to to local area for in-depth research is necessary. This class will assist you in your advance planning and preparation that will make it a successful trip. Great planning helps free you mind to think outside the box and experience those serendipitous moments and find treasures that can only happen when you are on site.
